Steve Wardle, Iris President and CEO, will be presenting The Hardest Conversation in Healthcare: 4 Key Results from Advance Care Planning on September 17th from 1:15pm – 2:00pm.
The session will focus on how to combat unnecessary care delivered to people with serious illness and levers to reduce one of the largest drivers of waste in our healthcare system. Advance care planning (ACP) is proven to address this problem but is currently underutilized and he will be providing evidence of 4 key outcomes from ACP, along with practical solutions to engage members with serious illness in one of the hardest conversations in healthcare.
Iris will also be presenting in the Medicare track on September 15th at 2:00pm – 2:45pm. Dr. Stephen Bekanich, Chief Medical officer at Iris, is presenting Reducing Non-Beneficial Care During Serious Illness with Advance Care Planning.
